End is nearer and nearer. Actually I can say I am happy that this Sulumits Retsambew thing will end soon. I am tired from watching results, building and checking backlinks – optimization generally. I am beginning to think what will I do with this blog after contest ends (maybe someone can suggest something useful). Currently I am thinking to renew domain for one more year and lets see what will happen. Probably will continue to post seo tips and trick from time to time. This site is getting nice monthly traffic for some posts, who know maybe PR advance so I decide to really use it as a SEO resource site.
As I said end is nearer. Results are again still and there is no major changes. 2 million links are still there. My prediction for indexed pages were wrong for 1 million

My Sulumits Retsambew support entry is on number 14 now. It would be great that I started to do little bit of work on it month ago. Now its to late for any serious jumps. Great news would be that Opera entry jump at first page. Also probably that entry is not deserve to rank higher then 5th place because actually there are more relevant pages like for example this one.
I am expecting one big round of changes before the end of the contest and if I survive that rumbling then I can even start to plan how to spend first spot winning.
However bird is stil on the tree.
It looks that because of often talk about Opera, Google decided that Sulumits Retsambew is somehow little bit related to Opera browser. Maybe because of that my Opera Sulumits Retsambew Blog is advancing like a crazy. I don’t know where was my blog positioned but after little bit optimization it went to position 29. After that I posted few blogposts and it went to 24. I again posted few posts and managed to get few backlinks and Opera Sulumits Retsambew went to number 19. In that moment I really got impressed especially because I can not do onpage seo for Opera blogs and I gave it link on this blog and it went to number 14. What is next? I decided that main goal is to bring another page of mine to frontpage, lets see can I achieve that 
. Doubt that 2k backlink and maybe 300 with Sulumits Retsambew anchor will help that. I should think something to get more relevant to our keyword, maybe to post two posts per day?
We are continuing the analysis of top 10 sulumits retsambew contestants. This time I am checking the code to text ratio of the entries. In first column is showed tested site, while in second is code to text ratio. The bigger the number the bigger the amount of text in content. Content is text in paragraphs and in anchors. Do note that it is not certain is amount of text used in search engines algorithms, but SEO people claim that it is. The larger amount of text will probably give additional boosts and better the rankings. Personally I avoid large amount of codes but I put text naturally and don’t think about the amount of it.

Well, instead of counting days ascending, since this day we are counting days until end of the Sulumits Retsambew descending. Yesterday major changes happened.
New forces are going strong, and I must admit I am scared of their advance. Since time is passing its risky to lose position, since now you don’t have time anymore to recover it. Sunitas Sulumits Retsambew and Sony are lost their positions, and winner entry pedee took their positions. Discodog lost two positions and its now on place six. Sunita also mentioned this fluctuations and people last minute activity.

Everybody knows what Sitemap is. Sitemap is basically list of all pages on one site that are available to user or robot crawler. There are two types of sitemaps. One is standard html view of all pages, which help your visitors (also search engines) to find your content pages
Other types of sitemaps are xml sitemaps (just for search engines). This sitemaps are introduced by Google so site developers can publish list of their site pages and with that help crawlers to find them and index them all.

Inactivity is death for SEO and optimization efforts if you are dealing with the niche where you can’t get natural traffic or if you have to strong opponents that you cant take overtake. One month of inactivity will ruin backlinks you built over few months. Here is example. This entry had almost 17k backlinks month ago and maybe 130 visitors daily. I was inactive for less then a month. I stopped link building, I stopped adding useful articles. (more…)
