I asked few times myself to use PLR articles or not to use. I concluded that if you will rewrite them then PLR articles are excellent source for your site articles, or site promotion. Why? Consider that if you take one PLR article which for theme has for example SEO and images and you take one article from some writer for same theme, then that two article must be similar. Your writer can not imagine words, so basically their difference is only in word order and a number of occurring words in them. If you are going to rewrite article then you will get the same effect. 

Sure you can used them without rewriting, but do know then that bunch of sites on internet already has published that articles, so you will never get to rank for them.

PLR articles can be used for different purposes as I already said. So for example

You can use them with your inlinks inserted and then submit them to article directories. Goal is to get valuable link from that sites.

You can use them for your site content if you are lazy or don’t have enough knowledge about given niches. Just rewrite them and post them as your own content. Nobody will say anything, since these articles come with full rights.

You can use them to build your page content size. Everybody knows that search engines loves big sites.

You can use them as spider baits. For example you don’t have ideas about what to write. Just use some PLR articles until you get idea, and your blog will stay fresh and indexed.
