Main characteristics of this improved theme are:

Sulumits Retsambew Winner was kicked out from second position, Pedee from third and Kaboon from some position on top page. Strange things are that they are kicked from all serps. For example you can’t find them anywhere on Google on any term related to Sulumits Retsambew. For example you can type pedeee.com sulumits retsambew and you will get Sunita entry. Same thing is for other two websites. So what can be reasons for this?

I have two theories.

First one is that they did something against Google Webmaster Guidelines. We all know that “winner” entry used automatic backlinking which I said are not allowed by Google. So he raised some flags and snap he was out off race.

Pedeee made good rankings but his content was not relevant to Sulumits Retsambew. It was fabricated content with bunch of links to his top page, from every paragraph on his site. It is possible that some Google algorithm detected this and he was out of race too.

I didn’t watched Kaboon site closely, so I don’t have a clue what and why happened with him, but he also had much of the old content that he changed to convince Google how his site actually talk about Sulumits Retsambew. For example how is it possible that he have blogposts from last year that are talking about our competition?

Second theory is that someone in Google put an eye on this contest. So he just went through the first two pages and kicked all entries he thought are not good. But then why some other entries are not kicked out, why they did not lost their ranking for other terms, why they did not lost their page rank, simply there is many “but” in this case.

And yes there is another theory. This is only temporary glitch in Google algorithms and they will be back before tomorrow morning.
For common webmasters this should be a good news. It shows how Google is very capable and dangerous to webmaster who want to go on the other side

Currently Sunita is holding second position and Sony with his .biz third.

Let’s hope that Google will not make even bigger drama from Sulumits Retsambew, and that we are not go where those three guys left.

I finished article on How I Did It my Sulumits Retsambew and I must say there are six pages of materials. For those who will feel bothered to read all that there is shorter version of half page. If I stay first I will publish that at Sunday Noon GMT, right after winners are declared.

Sunitas Sulumits Retsambew jumped to forth position, and she started line of top quality articles every link building strategy in details. You should defiantly check that since I don’t plan to do the same. So if someone is interested for deep strategy reasons those are great infos for them.

I realized that some of the competitors use some automatic link building tools like Sulumits Retsambew Winner entry. I know that their success look seductively and maybe you are thinking to use same strategy, but don’t do that. Google don’t like automatic link exchanges and soon as they figure it out they will track down all of them. Those systems were popular ten years ago and they are obsolete for serious long term ranking and trends that are dominating today.
Anyway I am running out of ideas about what to write.

We currently have Alexa rank of 136 242 (lol) and Google PR 2.

Yahoo site explorer shows us 19,732 while Google webmasters tools say that we have 9240 backlinks and 179 indexed pages.

I am stopping active link building. In these last few days most of my fresh backlinks will be from my forum posting and signatures. I am wondering how much those mean for ranking. I managed to get few banner backlinks so I have now some images linking to this entry. Few days before the end I will release this template for download. So maybe someone want to use it for future contests. Also I will start step by step story (How I Did It) in the series of  blogposts or maybe just one large blogpost.

As I said end is nearer. Results are again still and there is no major changes. 2 million links are still there. My prediction for indexed pages were wrong for 1 million .

My Sulumits Retsambew support entry is on number 14 now. It would be great that I started to do little bit of work on it month ago. Now its to late for any serious jumps. Great news would be that Opera entry jump at first page. Also probably that entry is not deserve to rank higher then 5th place because actually there are more relevant pages like for example this one.

I am expecting one big round of changes before the end of the contest and if I survive that rumbling then I can even start to plan how to spend first spot winning.

However bird is stil on the tree.

New forces are going strong, and I must admit I am scared of their advance. Since time is passing its risky to lose position, since now you don’t have time anymore to recover it. Sunitas Sulumits Retsambew and Sony are lost their positions, and winner entry pedee took their positions. Discodog lost two positions and its now on place six. Sunita also mentioned this fluctuations and people last minute activity.

How to defend my position? I am starting to recover my links and gaining new ones. Now I am introducing in fight links on some of my pages where I kept them in the case I need few quickie ones. Will go aggressively with well indexed forums. Also trying to make few more posts that will people want to link and talk about.

Today is day when number of indexed pages went over 2 million. Yes 2 million. I am wondering how much other seo contest had. Now we have bunch of contestants with 10k+ backlinks for their entries. As I said I am starting to recover my backlinks, and already I am back to my old number of 15,8 k backlinks. I am hoping that I can cross the number of 25k backlinks until end of the contest.

Basic blog. Guy is testing philosophy of optimizing his entry for Singapore since from there winner will be checked on Google. If he gain some success, probably I will go by his trails too. However not enough content and almost no backlinks will probably not backup his claims.

This entry has managed its way to the top, stayed for day or two and started to decline. Its also managed by Singapore geotargeting. However since this entry has 1,5k backlinks its looks much better in the serps.

Here is first black hat entry. Since I don’t know anything about black hat I cant openly say anything, but I don’t think they are worried buy that info. They are jumped to number 4 then dropped to number 6, but virtually from nothing. They are rapidly build links and currently they are at 8k, backlinks, only 4k less then me and 7k less then Sunita.

Bad thing is that plain wordpress theme used. 8k backlinks are making this contestants worthy opponent and I predict it will soon end up at the top.

What a great domain. Anyway it looks this guy is here from the beginning and it got also 8k backlinks. However strange thing is that this site had bunch of strange content which now just became 404 pages. So it had earlier use for something maybe. This is bad thing, since its needed over a year to convince google about your niche change.

Number of indexed pages for Sulumits Retsambew is magnificent. Google show 1 920 000 indexed pages. Off course they are not all contestants but their link building efforts.

I am wondering how there is much backlinks if first ten entries don’t have even 10% of that number of backlinks.

Our number of backlinks dropped to 15,7k from 16,1 and Sunita is again ahead us. So I will need to force myself to do more job. Last month I did not worked over 5 hours if I count all spent time related to Sulumits.

There is no major changes at the frontpage.

But first; Sulumits Retsambew number of indexed pages decreased dramatically. From 828 000 to 310 000 in just a few days. Is something happening with Google? Other thing is that most of the Sulumits guys are becoming inactive. Is it possible that everyone who announced hard work in the last months of Sulumits Retsambew are changed their minds? Certanly that would be good news for me.

Also good news is that this site first time from the beginning of the contest passed www.sulumitsretsambewno.com (by Sunita) in the number of backlinks.
We www.sulumitsretsambew.org have 16 300 and she managed to get 15 800 backlinks.

Now… one strange thing. Few days ago I published post named SEO wallpapers with one SEO related wallpaper in 4 different sizes. After couple of minutes pos was indexed and naturally it ended up on Google no. 1 for the term SEO wallpapers, but after day or two it got deindexed. You can not find it now for even exact match keywords from content. However some “tag” got indexed and its positioned on number 3. Very strange. Maybe problem is that I did not used read more tag, so my site have now duplicated content and Google realized that, so indexed only for him obvious one?
