Well, instead of counting days ascending, since this day we are counting days until end of the Sulumits Retsambew descending. Yesterday major changes happened.

New forces are going strong, and I must admit I am scared of their advance. Since time is passing its risky to lose position, since now you don’t have time anymore to recover it. Sunitas Sulumits Retsambew and Sony are lost their positions, and winner entry pedee took their positions. Discodog lost two positions and its now on place six. Sunita also mentioned this fluctuations and people last minute activity.

How to defend my position? I am starting to recover my links and gaining new ones. Now I am introducing in fight links on some of my pages where I kept them in the case I need few quickie ones. Will go aggressively with well indexed forums. Also trying to make few more posts that will people want to link and talk about.

Today is day when number of indexed pages went over 2 million. Yes 2 million. I am wondering how much other seo contest had. Now we have bunch of contestants with 10k+ backlinks for their entries. As I said I am starting to recover my backlinks, and already I am back to my old number of 15,8 k backlinks. I am hoping that I can cross the number of 25k backlinks until end of the contest.

Sulumits Retsambew Contest – Day 86

Time is passing. Today is 86 day in Sulumits Retsambew and we have 67 days before contest end. Google is playing with indexed pages and there is less pages now indexed then on contest day 79. Google show 653k indexed pages. First page is similar as before. Biz entry who is playing with it is back on second position. He deleted his page few times, he dropped few times from first page, but it looks that Google like his entry and it always give him back his second position.
My link building is going quite well, I almost catched Sunita and her 14 600 backlinks. I am currently at 13 800. Big job if we know that she had advance of over 5k backlinks, 12k in front of mine 7k. You could say that she is forcing me to play harder.
Soon I will deploy few of my latest way to gain backlinks, I just don’t have time to do it right now.

I am also wondering is anyone interested that I pack this simple theme I used and which have countless number of custom onpage optimization and tweaks?

Sulumits Retsambew Contest – Day 68

Few days I did not watched how Sulumits Retsambew go, and today I noticed that we crossed magical number of half million pages indexed by Google for our favorite keyword. I see the:

Results 1 – 10 of about 666,000 for sulumits retsambew. (0.11 seconds)

So it looks that by this rate of people joining, we will cross million of pages much earlier then I expected.

First three positions are still stable and since we are back on first place we are firmly keep it. WebmasterStimulus.org made his way to the no4. That is not surprise and I expected that he will jump to first page. Two new entries are yehia.com and web2news.com
However I can not open yehia since I noticed that entry introduction on Net Builders. Web2news are some social bookmarking site like digg, reddit and similar.

I tried to start article marketing finally, but I failed, my first article on ezinearticles is refused. It is obvious that I don’t know enough about writing and my English is not good enough. I can not write article that will pass quality guidelines so it looks I would need to hire someone or to forget Article submissions.

My link building campaign is also dead. I simply don’t have time for it, so I will push up little bit over the weekend. We even lost few great backlinks from strong sites due to complicated reasons. Good thing is that people very like few articles on Sulumits Retsambew Blog and that they constantly link to them on various forums and discussion boards.

Sulumits Retsambew domains contest is over

We were running the contest last month with 4 domains as prices. And now contest is over and it is time to announce winners. Sulumits Retsambew Contest Day 54

What is new in Sulumits Retsambew contest? Lots of new entries and lots of new faces . Every week first page is restumbled, but good thing is that first few entries are unchanged. We are still holding the first place while Sony with his biz entry and Sunita with sulumitsretsambewno.com are closely following us. First page now again have 3 web 2.0 entries. Most of the contestants predicted that they will lose track after first month, but Slideshare, Mixx and Reddit are still here.

Interesting is that forum entry on tareeinternet.com is going strong. And it looks it is just going as is. No link building or any web promotion . Maybe I should register.

Google is showing 280k indexed pages. Much less then I predicted. Also number of indexed pages few days was nearly 500k but it looks Google deindexed much of them. Or most likely that number is wrong .

I stopped my work on this entry, and I am worrying that if I don’t start, soon will lose my first position.

I would like also to say that my personal contest domain give away are near the end time. One more week and that’s it. So if you want to catch free domain feel free to drop comment here.

Eriuqs Spires Healthy Recreation

Eriuqs Spires Healthy Recreation is yet another seo contest. In the difference from the Sulumits Retsambew, this SEO contest has some specific rules (for example no keywords in the domain or subdomain), it last only until 31.05.2009., and it does not have so rich prices. Winner gets 400$, second place 200$ and the third place 100$. Not something special, to do much job. I decided to join with my Eriuqs Spires Healthy Recreation, but since I don’t have time for another promotion I will not bother my self if I don’t experience any success there. Eriuqs Spires Healthy Recreation is who knows what, and their makers is hoping they will get bunch of backlinks to their sites Heart Rate Watch Company and Spires at Red Lodge. That is even one of the rules, to have links to that two sites in the contest entry. As I said I will not do anything specific. Just maded that blogpost there and I will see how it goes. If blogpost jump on the first page for the term “Eriuqs Spires Healthy Recreation” then I will consider doing some work around it. But spare time for that will be hard to find. Strange thing is that my Across The Planet site is very well and fast indexed, but it looks Google is skipping that post. One day passed and it is still not indexed. I will try to do some quick social bookmarking, but I am wondering if that will be enough.

While Eriuqs Spires Healthy Recreation is not going so very well, here on Sulumits Retsambew we are still going strong. Google indexed 223 000 pages, and it looks like people are very consistent with their link building campaigns. First page is completely changed, and some of my favorite entries are deep down. It is long race ahead of us.

Sulumits Fall Down

I just lost my first position in the Sulumits Retsambew contest. I had feeling of invincibility, so this is actually good. Better lose places now, then 5 days before the end of the content. Last 2 days I almost did not do anything and punishment was quick and harsh. Fall from first, to third place. Sunita become no1. And that strange guy on Wordpress without links is now second. There are no significant changes for lower places. I noticed that there is no Slideshare entry no the sixth place (by Sunita), so it looks like Slideshare is very authoritative site. Probably until end of the day, will publish one slide of my own to support my contestant entry. No related posts. No related posts.

Sulumits Retsambew Contest – Day 7

Day 7 on Sulumits Retsambew and nothing seriously changed. We are still holding the first place. My favorite „enemy webmaster“, Sunita (ChillingBreeze) from India is still on the second place. We had a great conversation, and I realized that I am facing serious opponent with, a lot of knowledge and will. I adopted strategy changes because of her . She has less backlinks then me, but her entry have a bunch of strong links from article directories.
Afzalkhan loosed position because of wordpress hosted guy. Quite strange situation, since I don’t see any backlinks for 2sulumitsretsambew and the guy is almost without content.
Few new web 2.0 pages appeared on the first page, but I predict that they will not have breath for longer treks: D

Google now show there are 3800 pages for Sulumits Retsambew term and 7250 for sulumitsretsambew. Most of them are links that support contestant entries, and I think there is no more then 100 contestants in this moment.

Around Google SERP 8 and bellow I noticed few interesting new contestants.

My strategy change in Sulumits Retsambew race is not big.
I just decided that I will enter with all my links I can get as soon as possible, since I am sure that Google add value to the age of the backlinks. However that can be double sided knife. It is very easy, that with too much links getting daily Google might consider this as a spam. This is also questionable, since on that way your opponents would ruin your business to much easily.
I got question on email what are healthy links, which I will cover in special post.

Sulumits Retsambew Contest – Day 6

I just woke up and I can tell you a great news. We are still on the top . Situation is getting harder. ChillinBreeze is now on the second place (which is not surprising, notice the quality of the page, then backlinks from article websites, social bookmarking sites, directory sites, I think we can see only a top of the iceberg here, since Google do not show us all backlinks), Slideshare dropped on third, Afzal dropped on 4th, new player is on the 5th place (someone on Wordpress.com is doing a great job). I have registered sulumitsretsambew.wordpress.com maybe I should build it little bit, and get exclusive link to my .org domain. Slavko with his .biz is dropping further. He is now on number 6. White Hatter is on the middle of second page again. Few people will ask why do I mention him? Well he is on old domain, domain which was contest entry for Busby SEO test, and now for this one. He/She built a bunch of backlinks already and now he is doing all over again …

I yesterday lost three hours on optimizing site (one hour on code highlighting plugin problem). Today I will work only 1 hour. I don’t want to risk burnout I mentioned yesterday. I added Opera button since I am very big Opera supporter. Maybe you should try it. In next few days I will probably dedicate few posts to my Opera.
