This time I am checking the code to text ratio of the entries. In first column is showed tested site, while in second is code to text ratio. The bigger the number the bigger the amount of text in content. Content is text in paragraphs and in anchors. Do note that it is not certain is amount of text used in search engines algorithms, but SEO people claim that it is. The larger amount of text will probably give additional boosts and better the rankings. Personally I avoid large amount of codes but I put text naturally and don’t think about the amount of it.

This time I am bringing 10 new contestants. Among them we have few that made their way to the top and even one of them that don’t play by the moral rules. But is there moral thingy in the SEO.

Ok lets start:

Basic blog. Guy is testing philosophy of optimizing his entry for Singapore since from there winner will be checked on Google. If he gain some success, probably I will go by his trails too. However not enough content and almost no backlinks will probably not backup his claims.

2. http://www.studenthurricanenetwork.org/

This entry has managed its way to the top, stayed for day or two and started to decline. Its also managed by Singapore geotargeting. However since this entry has 1,5k backlinks its looks much better in the serps.

3. http://www. discodog.fr/ sulumits-retsambew.html

Here is first black hat entry. Since I don’t know anything about black hat I cant openly say anything, but I don’t think they are worried buy that info. They are jumped to number 4 then dropped to number 6, but virtually from nothing. They are rapidly build links and currently they are at 8k, backlinks, only 4k less then me and 7k less then Sunita.

Bad thing is that they taken my frontpage text and just changed some words to be different. That is why you can click on this link above. If you want to visit it copy the URL and remove spaces from it >(

4. http://orange.pinkygirl.org

Entry that obviously sell links. Decent number of backlinks but probably not related to Sulumits Retsambew. Bad navigation ruins this site.

One page content blog. Very bad entry. It looks his owner abandoned it long time ago.

6. http://www.sulumits-retsambew.kdstudio.pl/

Supporter entry for one of the contestants, but with little more optimization and backlinks I can bet this entry would do great.

7. http://www.sulumits-retsambews.com

I like this entry. It entered late in the contest but content is regulary here and it has actually for the difference of the rest few really interesting articles. Bad thing is that plain wordpress theme used. 8k backlinks are making this contestants worthy opponent and I predict it will soon end up at the top.

8. http://www.tvents.com/

What a great domain. Anyway it looks this guy is here from the beginning and it got also 8k backlinks. However strange thing is that this site had bunch of strange content which now just became 404 pages. So it had earlier use for something maybe. This is bad thing, since its needed over a year to convince google about your niche change.

Don’t understand word of this site, but I thought I should mention it to boost my word count and number of entries :D .

10. http://coretancyber.com/infoblog/

It looks this guy cant decide about what is his page. I have feel that he ruined some other purpose in advance to the contest. Nothing special to say.

This is me. So nothing special will be said. Just take a look around. If you are girl and you are really impressed with me then sorry I am taken, but do know I am great. I am the greatest even if I don’t win this contest.

This is my friend from Croatia entry. He entered to the contest to experiment. I don’t count him as a serious opponent but he is maybe crazy enough to win it.
How much is he crazy you can realize if you find out that he deleted his entry when he hit the first place to see how Google will react. He is the also 4th or 5th entry by the amount of backlinks.

Sunita is doing great job in this content. She is the owner of entry with most backlinks dedicated to Sulumits Retsambew or second entry if we look general backlinks. I consider her as my strongest opponent. She is everywhere on net. From article directories, over common directories, to the various pages of her friends. I am wondering how she got link on datso.fr? That’s the page of Datso gallery for Joomla by Andrey Datso (I think). I used his gallery on some site maybe 3 years ago, while his site was only on Russian language. This is my favorite entry. Dear Google if I need to lose I would like to lose by her. Also you can find some nice pics of her, on her about page.

What about this. Who can now tell that domain don’t mean anything. No content and no backlinks, yet still on the first page after a month.

5. www.mygulfcoastbeachteam.com/sulumits-retsambew/
I hate the want used on this page. It looks people love this entry. He has biggest amount of comments on his blogpost then any other entry. I am thinking to turn off my akismet so I catch him up :D

6. www.sulumits-retsambew.wabuf.com
This entry looks decent, but I don’t like it. It has exactly the same footer slogan as I, and his favicon is really similar to mine too. I know antifavicon site is free tool and every icon created there is similar, but anyway I decided to not like this entry. Because of that I will put on this entry nofollow tag!

7. www.slideshare.net/guestce90ce/sulumits-retsambew
As Sunita said on one of her article around the net, this entry was built to support main entry, but it looks it perform much better then main entry. It is near the top since the beginning of the contest.

8. www.firetown.com/2009/03/15/the-sulumits-retsambew-seo-contest/
Firetown! He dedicated this entry to charity and all entries mentioned on his page are giving small portion of their potential price to the charity. Good cause. If you are asking yourself why my entry is not listed there, it is because I don’t give anything to charity. However I am thinking about it, etc. to support local school with some printer, scanner or something…

9. www.billhartzer.com/pages/net-builders-launches-sulumits-retsambew-seo-search-engine-optimization-contest/
I don’t know this guy. But his bog is worth of checking. This page is not dedicated strictly to the Sulumits Retsambew SEO contest, but more general SEO. Bunch of useful articles, seo resources, so as seo tips and tricks…

Afzal Khan entry. Similar situation as with Bill Hartzer. This guy would probably easy walk through the contest if he had more time. I am sincerely hoping he will not find enough time to enter more seriously. :D

On the beginning of the contest, I got scared by this entry. Hard to say why, but his color choices look like coder choices. And coders are special story, if they get flame for something they are like bulldogs, don’t letting go until goal is achieved. We are lucky again, no update on this site since the beginning of the contest.

12. www.2sulumitsretsambew.blogspot.com
wwe_fan9417 entry after his 2sulumitsretsambew.wordpress got banned from wordpress with whom he was on top of the list. For his new entry he got in a short time almost 5k backlinks which make this page 3rd most linked Sulumits Retsambew entry.

13. www.bewithcijo.blogspot.com/2009/03/sulumits-retsambew.html
Sulumits Retsambew Blogger Cijo! Well this guy is incredibly active. He regularly comments on my entry, so as on other entries to. It there is Sulumits around somewhere, Cijo is defiantly somewhere around too. However his blog looks awfully in Opera. CSS is really messed up.

14. www.kabonfootprint.com
Second entry that I don’t like! This guy blog was active for some other seo contest which ended up while ago. So he just changed every occurrences of the name of old seo contest with the „Sulumits Retsambew“. So now it looks like his entry is far older then any other in contest. That basically makes his content irrelevant. I am hoping Google will realize that and drop him from first and second page.

15. www.thewhitehatter.com
After Sunita this is the guy I fear the most. Similar like kabonfootprint his page is old and participated in few other seo contests, however his other content is valuable since he wrote new one for Sulumits Retsambew. He is constantly present on the first two page, and what is the most important he have 42 000 backlinks for his site. Lucky we, most of them probably over 40k backlinks are not targeted with Sulumits Retsambew or similar anchor. Also I because of his name he is automatically one of my favorite contestants.

16. www.otooo.com
Very strange site. This site ranked on first page and then dropped. Now it doesn’t have any content related to Sulumits Retsambew. Looked like a promising competitor, but he probably don’t have will or time to compete further. Over 7k backlinks.

Conclusion

There are bunch of other entries around so probably when and if, someone catch my eyes, I will probably update this post. Sorry if I forgot someone, feel free to mention yourself in a comment bellow: D

One month since the beginning of Sulumits Retsambew SEO contest. As I said earlier, I joined to this contest to see where I am in the relation to the other webmasters. It started great with taking the first place just after 24 hours passed. Until now I lost the first place (for more then 5 hours) only once, when Sunita overtake me. After getting back my first position after less then a day I did not dropped it anymore. Most time with contest, I spent in the beginning of the same. Last 20 days I work at average maybe 20 minutes on this site. Most of the work now and in the future is to continue link building and to add new content. I skipped some important steps in link building; I hope Google will not punish me. Tomorrow I will post the traffic screenshot; you will be surprised when you see that this site didn’t get more then 50 visitors daily until two days ago, even if it spent all time on first place.
That only prove how wrong alexa rank is, since almost every one of you have site with more visitors and lweaker alexa position.

Other results did not changed too much. News are that Sony turned of his .biz page because he got some kind of warning email for his biz domain, but I don’t have clue what is in it. So I will try to pick that out. Two new entries on first page are kabonfootprint and the whitehatter. I am surprised that whitehatter didn’t jump out on first page earlier.
2sulumitsretsambew is still on second page, even if entry is banned it still stay good on Google. It looks as somebody said Google fall in love very slow, but it stop loving even slower :D .

Google is now on 134,000 indexed pages and rising. If everything goes by this tempo it will pass over half a million until the end. I am wondering which page rank will get Net Builders on few next updates. Their current page rank is 3.

Major changes happened last night. Don’t worry people, we are still first :) . Slideshare entry has overtaken Sunita. Slideshare is now on 2nd place, and Sunita is on third. Also Afzalkhan passed Blogspot entry so they are not 3rd and 4th. Renanrola is not anymore on last page of first page, he jumped for one position on 9th place. As I said I did not do anything over the weekend, but is crucial not to drop my continuity in link building. It looks that other people also slowed down with link building. Sunita is staying on the same amount of links maybe 500 hundred more then me. Then on second position is me, and after me is Sony with his biz domain and around 900 backlinks. Afzal and Cijo are surprisingly good for their backlinks. But strange position is sulumitsretsambew.com entry, on second page with only few backlinks and no content. This is proof how much keywords in domain name are important. Some guys have thousands of backlinks but they all have old domains which are already developed.

Great news also is that Google passed 100k indexed pages and it is now on 105k, and first month of the contest is not over yet.
